Rwomiire, who also served as Prime Minister during the reign of the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, said he was humbled by the confidence placed in him by the new King.
He described his reappointment as a renewed call to serve the Omukama and the people of Tooro, rather than a personal entitlement.
The Prime Minister said reconciliation would be among his foremost priorities, calling on Kingdom leaders, clans, institutions and subjects to put aside differences and work towards healing and unity.
“Tooro needs healing. Tooro needs peace. Tooro needs harmony. We cannot build a stronger Kingdom if we remain divided,” Mr Rwomiire said.
He also acknowledged that he made mistakes, particularly following the death of the late Omukama Oyo, and issued an apology to those who may have been affected by his actions, decisions or omissions.
“I take responsibility for my part in those matters and offer a clear and unreserved apology to those who were affected,” he said.
Rwomiire said his administration would focus on addressing outstanding staff arrears, strengthening Kingdom systems and accountability, completing youth empowerment incubation hubs, supporting the Masaza, promoting productive use of Kingdom land and expanding agricultural programmes.
He also listed completion of the remaining Masaza Cup games, implementation of the Kingdom Strategic Plan and stronger engagement with the Government of Uganda among the key priorities.
The Prime Minister said the Kingdom would seek partnerships with government ministries and agencies in areas including youth empowerment, agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure, cultural heritage and enterprise development.
He said the administration would also prioritise financial discipline and accountability to ensure that Kingdom resources are properly managed and programmes deliver measurable results.
Rwomiire urged elders and Kingdom leaders to properly induct new office bearers so that they understand their responsibilities, authority and the institution they serve.
He said the new chapter under Omukama Edward Rukiidi Nyabongo I should focus on restoring confidence, rebuilding trust and uniting the Kingdom.
