Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Kigezi HomeBoyz has parted ways with head coach Sadick Sempigi, just months after he guided the Kabale-based club to a historic promotion.

Sempigi played a key role in Kigezi HomeBoyz’s successful campaign that secured the club a place in Uganda’s top-flight league for the first time in its history.

His departure comes at a crucial stage as the club prepares for its maiden Uganda Premier League season, where it will face tougher competition and a significantly higher level of demand.

The coach’s contribution to the club’s promotion campaign has been widely regarded as instrumental in achieving the historic feat.

However, the circumstances surrounding the decision to part ways with Sempigi have not been disclosed by the club.

Kigezi HomeBoyz are expected to announce a replacement as they intensify preparations for their debut campaign in the Uganda Premier League.

The club will be seeking to build on its promotion success and establish itself among Uganda’s top-flight teams in the coming season.
