Mbarara City FC Unveils New Board Members and Shs500 Million Sponsorship Deal

Mbarara City Football Club has unveiled Hon. Mercy Kanyesingye and Hon. Francis Mwijukye as new members of its board as the club undertakes a series of changes ahead of the new football season.

The club also announced Africa Coffee Park as its official sponsor in a partnership valued at Shs500 million. The sponsorship is expected to provide a significant boost to the club’s preparations, operations and ambitions for the upcoming campaign.

As part of its squad restructuring, Mbarara City FC has further confirmed the signing of eight new players. The new arrivals are expected to strengthen the team as it seeks to build a competitive squad ahead of the new season.

In a related development, the club announced that it will relocate its home matches from Rwamwanja to Africa Coffee Park. The venue will serve as the club’s new home ground while also hosting its partnership with Africa Coffee Park as the official sponsor.

The appointment of Kanyesingye and Mwijukye brings additional leadership and community representation to the club’s administration. Their inclusion on the board is expected to contribute to efforts to strengthen governance, mobilise wider support and advance the club’s long-term development.

The developments form part of Mbarara City FC’s broader strategy to strengthen its institutional structures, improve its competitiveness and build a sustainable football project.

The club is expected to release further details on the eight new signings and outline its plans for Africa Coffee Park as preparations for the new season continue.
