Ugandan comedian Yokana Mbuuse, popularly known as Kapere Lufotose, has reportedly died at a hospital in Buddo, Wakiso District.

Mbuuse is said to have died on Sunday, November 1, 2026. However, details surrounding the circumstances of his death had not been established by press time.

News of his reported death has triggered grief among fans and members of the entertainment industry, particularly within Uganda's comedy fraternity.

In February 2026, Mbuuse attracted public attention after expressing frustration over what he described as being sidelined by fellow comedians and excluded from comedy performances.

During the outburst, he reportedly criticised colleagues whom he accused of neglecting him and said he would not want those who had abandoned him to attend his funeral.

His reported death has renewed attention to his earlier remarks, although the circumstances surrounding his passing remain unclear.

Further details, including official confirmation of his death and funeral arrangements, are expected to emerge.
